tyling Curly Hair
can be a real challenge, but armed with the right products and techniques, anyone can have a head full of frizz-free locks.Curly Hair Solutions will give you the best results because they are tailored to the special needs of curly hair. However, a good product's potential can never be realized without a proper routine. To keep your hair at its best, your hair routine should consist of four steps: cleanse, condition, style, and finish.

First, cleanse your hair using a mild shampoo. If you have loose curls, don't shampoo more than four to five times a week. For medium and corkscrew curls, no more than three times a week. Those with kinky or tight curls should avoid shampooing more than twice a week since this hair type is fragile. Choose a shampoo that has a low amount of sodium laureth sulfate and instead has ammonium lauryl sulfate.

To begin, put a dime-sized amount of shampoo in your hand. Rub your hands until the shampoo lathers. Then, run your hands through your hair. Do not pile your hair on top of your head and never pour shampoo directly on your hair. Massage your scalp gently with your fingers (not your nails) for a minute and then rinse. There is no need to repeat the shampoo process.

Curly hair gives you one big styling advantage over straight hair. Whether your hair is naturally curly or permed, curls mean lots of volume... sometimes, too much! Curly hairstyles, while enviable for both volume and beauty, are not smooth sailing! Most curly headed people find that lying obediently in place is not a curl’s strong point.

It’s second (maybe first) nature for a single curl to stick up, out... do anything to make itself the center of attention in your hairstyle. Conditioning is the most important part of your hair care routine in addition to bi-weekly or monthly deep conditioning treatments. The most effective treatments require heat such as s Deep Treatment. Avoid products that do not require heat because there will be little to no effect on your hair's health or condition

If you are not due for a deep conditioning treatment, use a daily conditioner that best fits your needs. For example, dryness is common complaint among curly heads because the oil from the scalp has a hard time traveling down the spiral of each strand. In this case, a conditioner for dry hair would be a good choice.

  • 1.Start with dry hair there’s no need to wash first, but if you think of it, do use a body-building mousse the morning-or day-before you plan to roll. This will ensure that your hair’s at its thickest. If you’ve got naturally curly hair, apply a little smoothing cream, and then gently brush through to pull out the curls a little and make rolling easier. Then this is for everyone divide out just the top half of the left side of your hair.
  • 2.Wrap that half around one of the jumbo rollers, directing the curler downward and rolling it all the way a clip-and repeat on the bottom half. Then do the same to the right side- and roll the whole back with the remaining fifth curler. Kick back with a book until the rollers have cooled completely expect to have to kill about twenty minutes.
  • 3.Carefully unwind all five curlers don’t rush or you couldend up with tangled hair. Then gently pull through the curls with abrush to create a big, soft wave. If you’re naturally curly, you maywant to smooth some more frizz-fighting cream on before and after youbrush to keep your hair forms getting too poufy. To keep from gettingtriangle head you know, too much volume at the ends, fluff the rootswith your fingers.
  • 4.If your hair starts to fall midday or night, this trick willhelp revive it: Take a fine-tooth comb and lightly back-comb that meanscombing toward the scarp just the roots. The trick is to count “1,2,3”with each combing stroke-then repeat that same number on every sectionor you’ll end up with lumps. Spritz with hair spray and you’re back inshape.

Curly Haircare
Curly hair has a distinguishing loopy “S” pattern to it as well.Unlike the smooth “S” pattern of wavy hair, curly hairs “S” pattern iselongated looking more like a stretched out slinky. Contrary to popularbelief, curly hair is not coarse at all.  The individual strand of hairis baby soft and has a very fine texture. The only problem is thatthere is a lot of it to begin with!! Curly hair is not as shiny asstraight or wavy hair. The reason why is because curly hair does nothave that very smooth surface. Hence, light does not reflect off of itas much as it does with straight or wavy hair.

When curly hair gets wet it straightens out. When it dries though,it absorbs that water and contracts back into its natural shape.Individuals with curly hair know all too well the extra frizzy andcurly effects that high humidity creates.

Healthy curly hair has identifiable traits. It is shiny and soft, with smooth curls, and has strong elasticity. The hair is very strongand springy. If you pluck a strand of hair out and stretch it, it willnot snap in two. Conversely, damaged curly hair has the oppositetraits.  They are fuzzy, frizzy, dull, dry to the touch, with weak illdefined hair curls.

Just as with wavy hair, curly hair has sub types as well. They are:

Sub Type C1: This type can be very loosely curled and can also be shiny with bigcurls.  Remember the principle rule for curly hair; the shorter thehair is, the straighter it will get. The longer the hair is, the moredefined the curl will be.

Sub Type C2: Traits of this type range from tight corkscrews to bouncy ringlets. It’s not strange to find different sub types on the same head. In fact, curly hair is made up from several different textures with the crownbeing the curliest part.

Sub Type C3: This type of hair has very tight curls and is densely packed withlots of strands of hair. The curls can also be very kinky and blowdrying this hair sub type is more difficult than both sub type C1 andC2.
